This grassy area is in fact one of many islands on the nile between Luxor and Aswan. It's quite common to see cattle grazing on them, afterall the grass is well watered and the cows don't need to be fenced in. You do see, quite often the cattle in the river cooling down from the heat of the sun.

I really like this image, it's beautiful and an amusing sight to see:) But in such a warm country they should plant some trees for the cattle so they can stand in the shade don't you think? Anyway...very nice post:)
