A lovely shot, with some good framing going on there. It seems to me like it's a bit out of focus, but I'm not sure if that's a bad thing on this image or not. Great autumn colours and composition.
Gorgeous. Simple. clean, & elegant. The bottom of the leaf's stem is a bit out of focus, but I wouldn't have noticed it at all if I wasn't looking . Stunning & beautiful & the framing adds just the right tough. Art work indeed.
Rob,
DON"T TOUCH A THING IN THIS IMAGE! The so called "soft stem" is nothing more than the stem being below the water's surface. If those that comment about this would look close they would find that there is a refraction line (in red) around the end of the stem, just as it is around the leaf's parts that enter the water, This is one of those photographic phenomenon's. Film or a CCD can record an area of the light spectrum that he human eye cannot see. Depending upon the angle, of the sun to the subject, the color could be red, green or blue. Sort of the way a rainbow works. Only you can see a rainbow. What you have recorded is the near infrared area, blue on the other had would be near the Ultraviolet end of the spectrum. The recording of the Ultraviolet is much more difficult.
If I had anything negative to say about this image it would be that I personally feel that the border is to large for the image. That is just an opinion as it is a artist choice as to how he mounts his images. Very well done. Is this the same images that Quiet tossed into the water and you went Click? High Marks from me. Do they still count??

Photography is not a trade - it is an art. It is more that an art.
It is a solar phenomenon,
where the artist collaborates with the sun.
