I took this picture in the Piazza di Spagna. I liked the contrast between the old monument (dedicated to the Immaculate Conception) and the very modern ad placed on the scaffolding on the building behind it. It speaks to me about how Rome as the "Eternal City" is modern and ancient at the same time.

That is a little funny! Great contrast. I like the clarity of this photo as well. Rome is a beautiful city...

A great shot and your image description says it all. You had a very "artistic and observant eye" to notice something what most of the people wouldn't even recognize as a contrast between old and new. Focus and lighting are good on your image, the only thing which I would have liked to be different is your shooting position or the detail of the view. The very left part of the sky leads a bit away from the subject. But in any case, a very nice and creative shot, thumbs up !

I was asked to vote on this and I knew as soon as I saw it that this was someone very observant to their surroundings. I gave you a great score by the way :) I thought the blue sky peeking on the left took away from this so I gave you a 9. Please keep your eyes open for more shots like this so you can share with us.

In this is love: not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the atoning sacrifice for our sins. 1 John 4:10
