Tracy I am quickly learning some "tricks" which make it easy to create a much more realistic landscape... I am planning to do some tutorials to learn more, as I am still unable to make everything I want to.
"The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts." Bertrand Russell
Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay. <Robert Frost> "Nothing Gold Can Stay"
Drop dead gorgeous! (I hope I spelled gorgeous right). This is a very nice render, I've never played around with Terragen before, it looks like it's a good program.
This is great, Sam - how I missed it I don't know! You are the Terragen master! Now if I could only work out my issues with surface maps I might be able to produce a decent image. ;-)
im very opposed to wut Otako said....about it taking more skill to make a picture then taking it...its not every person that can take a camera into their hands and make art with it...thats all i have to say
This is amazing.. Is it real, or is it Memorex? So really, is this a false mirror image or a water image reflection? I can tell when I look at it, but what it does to the mind is amazing... looks just like water... And the mountains and sky have such striking vivid colors! Goes to 10, and to desktop! ~Ouimon~
WOW!! Looks just like a real photo, the image looks so flat, how'd you do that???? I really like how the snow appears in the higher altitudes of the moutain and of course, the perfect reflection!! This made it to my favorites!
I can't believe it!! This is like the third time I thought a computer generated image was a photograph! Oh, well, I guess that says that this is really good, this has many relistic qualities to it, such as the snow appearing in the higher alititudes of the moutains, also, the reflection on the lake is beautiful. Great job on this!
