What a great sense of visual balance you have. The yellows and oranges move in diagonal directions, creating a very subtle background movement. Each flame has just enough of the opposite color around it to set it off from the background. The flames have a great 3D feel and shadowing enforces that effect. On top of everything else, the texture of the background gives me one more thing to look at and the curves in the texture echo the diagonal movement of the colors. There isn't one thing wrong here. This is a beautifully warm image, as well. (Warm is the theme for the day.) High marks from me.

Thanks guys! I just noticed a flaw in the tips of the tentacles, I'm going to fix that but wait until I get more feedback before I repost incase there are any other changes I need to make.

I can see that flaw, now that you mention it. ;) I can see nothing else to give you an other feedback on then that this is looking fab. ^_^

Super duper Sam!! I love the simplicity and the color range is just purrrfect. The only little negitive thing from me is the wording on the post itself...but that's probably just me.

This I like, especially the shadowing which gives depth. Yellows and oranges are always pleasing to the eye and soothing to the mind. Good job.

Always the perfectionist, eh ? I'd leave it, but do what makes you comfortable. This really needs to be seen full screen to get the full effect. Your shading from tone to tone is done with such a delicate touch, I'm really impressed. Fantastic piece of work Sam.

The colours are just wonderful and the feel of each of the curves is very expressive. Personally, I wish it didnt have the words on it. It would look lots better on my desktop. But thank you for posting this very bright and beautiful creation.
