One of the photos of the Royal Exhibition Building I took while in Melbourne over the last few days. Unfortunately the fountain wasn't running at the time. This structure was finished in 1880 and must have been very impressive to the people of the time. I found an excellent site if you want more information here.

Love the buildings style and the cutouts in the arch are a great design touch. The formal grounds draw my attention. Impressive in 1880 and now as well. Beautifully framed by the trees, I like the point on the left.

Perfectly framed, great colors. I love these types of buildings. I hope to return to Austrailia someday and see Melbourne. I can only imaging what this exact image would be like at night...great shot!
