I took this in Chicago during a lull in the boardwalk's business, hoping my family wasn't too far ahead. I only realized later that there is a boat visible on the left-hand side of the image. It adds an interesting touch, I think. I didn't know what to do for the title, so I kept it simple.

interesting curves in this and with the path disappearing makes the image even more intriguing! Thought I knew Chicago well but dont recognise where this is..Very good shot

I like this one too! It would be simple and snap-shotish under different circumstances, but you've provided an angle and feel to it that makes it artistic. Again, as I saw with your self portrait, you have a nice range of lighting and texture contrasts. While there's only two major colors in the pic (blue and gray) there are varied tones of those two colors as well. That, plus the nicely defined lines in the pic make it very pleasant to look at.

Very nicely done!! Keep it up!
