I personally like how you used cropping, it adds to the image..... How did you create the lightning effect? Was it in Photoshop?

WowZer! I downloaded this immediately - shocked is right! Like all those curved, wavy lines. The lightning effect is marvelous. And the array of colors go well together on the star filled background. Super design : ))
