This is the first set I am posting using my Rebel XTi. I do not have a macro lens, so some of the focus is not what it should be. I must note that both of these were shot RAW(which I am in love with now) and are significant crops. I like the fact the RAW image still retains so much detail. Enjoy!

That must be an awesome camera. The detail is great. I love the dark background and the sparkles in the snowy one.

These look lovely. I like the snow that has sparkles and the colours. Also I like the B&W in second one. It lets the details in the leaves show in a very nice way. Very nice work!

Both photos get top technical merit scores. Composition, focus, contrast are all really working well. You've taken a ho-hum subject and turned it into something interesting in both instances.

You are enticing the viewer to delve into the details. The B&W has very fine balance. I'm impressed with the color accuracy of the top photo

Thanks everyone! I have to give the credit to my wife though, she stopped me on the way out the other day and said "shoot that". So though I have the technical skills, she is the real creativity behind this operation! I must say one thing I adore about my Mac is the display calibration. I'm not sure what exact profile they use, but it is dead on!
