My wife's grandmother was an established artist in her day. The whole family has the blessing of many of her oils and bronzes throughout their homes. This particular one is in her sisters house over the fireplace. This is Mount Wilbur in Glacier National Park. The trees to the right of the painting grow differently due to the continental divide. What a wonderful share John. My mother, a prolific oil painter, painted in this same style. She's no longer with us on earth and I have a storage room filled with her paintings. She never sold a thing and was hard pressed to give them away. She did it simply because she loved to paint. Thanks for sharing. You brought me some great memories - I can almost smell the paint.
