I gave this a 10 in the voting booth and I didn't even know it was a friend's pic...it's great and so well done. The purple with the black and white was a great idea, but the white of the umbrella really helped this one as well...or perhaps you kept that color..no matter. It WORKS!
"I never looked for it, gave it no name; yet I knew it always, when the gift of peace came. I stood quite still for the moment that it lasted...Then the light shifted slightly and the moment passed, leaving me...with the lasting echo of its presence.." Diana Gabaldon
Had this in th VB and just had to comment. I love it! Great angle and just leaving the car coloured ads a lot to this photo. Great work! Thank΄s for sharing!
I can't express in words alone (although, you know I would try :oP) how strong your image here is in my eyes.
The streaks of rain created some nice patterns on the car itself ... the ones on the engines' hood are somewhat 'different' looking.
So ... jumping in with both feet firmly planted in my mouth ... a result of editing, perhaps?
The hood is raised, thought it could be a reflection ... not sure. Just curiosity more so on my part, as it does not detract ... more of a visual anomaly that I can't quite figure out.
Annnnd ... but of course ... +favs for me.
Thank you for sharing more of your work. This viewer appreciates it. :o)
This is really sharp Chip! I like the desaturation effect. The purple is quite an eye grabber, even in the thumbnail! I like how the white of the umbrella provides that single bright spot to draw attraction and the viewers eye to the car owner? standing by and guarding this baby. To my favorites it goes. Quite classy my friend. Many thanks for sharing this with me and may the blessings of the Thanksgiving days be yours =)

Saw this image on the maing page. A great picture of a very nice hotrod. I specialy like this posting because it marks the burrial of Boyd Coddington today (05-03-2008). The man who took hotrodding to the next step. Thanks for this posting.
Normally I am not a fan of selective coloring. I've always seen it as a bit "gimmicky." But this is fantastic! :) The composition is wonderful and the selective coloring works with the image here. Well done!

Unbelievable. This is an awesome, awesome pic. Not to make light of the post work you did, but the beauty of this pic is your eye for potential. Great work!
