This is a ray of hope on a hazy day looking at the Sunshine Skyway Bridge. I thought twice about putting this picture on here because of the noise in the sky. Maybe someone can tell me how to get rid of the noise. I was using full zoom and maybe even some digital zoom also - because we were so far away. I know this causes noise but what do you do ? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I really like this! I usually don't like pics that are edited but this has shed new light on that! Thanks for posting this!

I think it's a very cool shot! I love the ray of light and the dolphin jumping in the corner. I really like the subdued colours too.
As far as noise, there's a program called Neat Image that reduces noise. I need to reload it myself.
Thanks for sharing.

This is a breathtaking view of that bridge - the structure is interesting. The two toned water is lovely and the dolphin? adds a zing to this scene - you captured a wonderful shot including that ray of bright light. Thanks Terry :^)

I need to catch up on things so can't comment too much. But I love all of your fine images :)

Great composition here, and karrid told you about Neat Image and also Photoshop's Gaussian blur helps with the noise, but it's not bad at all. You wouldn't want to mess with that great misty light in the background at any rate :)

The timing of your capture is fascinating to me. :o)

That dolphin is pure serendipity.

Noise issue? Well, ok ... here is Neat Image, widely used on the site here by many members and fairly intuitive.

However, I don't feel that this is the case. I would prefer that you masked the portion of your image above the horizon and adjust the contrast, simply stated.

And I will be so bold to offer another link to another widely used image editing program on the site here, freeware once again ... and it is Photofiltre.

"The Gimp" is another freeware image editing program, and quite powerful as well.

I am not sure if there is an option within Photofiltre to separate portions of images, 'masking' is one term ... however, with the colour and filter adjustments possible in Photofiltre, I do think you could accomplish what I suggested above.

This is a really unique shot. Kind of otherworldly when taking in it's constituent components.

Might even want to look at cropping some ... some of the foreground water and go wide 'screenish' to bring more focus to one; the dolphin and two; that wonderful light emanating from the heavens.

Thanks for sharing this one with us.

p.s. Thanks for the solution to your Moon or sun or something else ? image. Uh ... that ... was my second guess. :oP

p.s.p.s. Heyyyyy ... this isn't another one of your 'trick' images, is it? ;o)
