I think this pigeon thought he was a duck and got the shock of his life when he tried to land on a lilly pad! Mercifully he managed a soggy escape, with nothing more than ruffled wet feathers and a dent in his pigeon pride! (Sorry this is not as sharp as it could be, but this isn't an everyday event, so it was a case of hear splash, grab camera, point and shoot!)

It looks like if your leave our all the expletives, he didn't say a thing. You really captured the expression of sheer panic. I'll bet he never lands on another lily pad for a while.

There seems to be many lilly pads beckoning me each day with their evil intent and I have had that awful realization upon the landing that not all is as it should be. You captured that look of dispair, so very well, in that poor bird's eye.
