Great capture! A bit grainy but with the lighting you had this is a keeper for sure.

Such a dramatic, almost alien image that would have even more impact if the horizon were straightened. Great capture though.

Tom,

With the minor exception of the skewed horizon, an excellent image! Is the horizon fixable with some photo-editing application?

Thanks for posting this image!

Very nicely captured sunset, but ya gotta watch that horizon line. Not hard to straighten it. Verena

While the lighting is dramatic there's nothing that is in focus. It could also be slight camera movement due to a very slow shutter speed. The horizon does appear to have a have a significant left tilt, based on that single left cloud but visually there's no way of knowing as the terrain could also account for the slope. A foreground object (tree, large rock, building or human form) silhouetted against the sun would have been useful in adding some perspective and balance.
Unfortunately, without any of the above items, and out of focus/camera movement evident, the dramatic lighting just isn't enough to create impact.

The red glow seems to draw you in.
