That's a lovely shot Tom, but personally I can do without the industrial clutter on the left side. I tried cropping it -- a big chunk off the left, a little off the right, and some off the top, too. That brings the most colorful area of flowers closer, and leaves nothing but trees and blue sky behind.
Beautiful color on this field, Tom. But, I'm inclined to agree with gjwahl and crop out the unnatural bits at left. You've still got one heck of a photo, just can't use it for widescreen anymore.
I understand what you mean about cropping out the buildings Greg and Alexis.I had something else in mind here and certainly may have another with out the buildings.Perhaps a name like the Rebirth of a field or a new beginning may have made the point I wanted to relay.I thank your for taking the time..Tom
Tom, it IS important to "set the context" by means of both your title and your introductory comments. In fact, I think that's what accounts for the disparity, sometimes, between a photo's comments and its subsequent c-index score -- the people who are looking at the photo on its page can understand what you were going for, while the people in the Voting Booth see a "bare" picture with no context whatsoever.
