I think that this may be a better view of this frozen lake without the trees in the foreground.This is an entirely different photo and not cropped from Winter Island.I did only a few minor edits, this is pretty much just how it looked that day.

Absolutly marvelous.. What a fine winter scene you have posted for us here. Indeed the empty foreground without trees give the image something special, your eye gets atracted to the middle straight away. Very good image !

This view with the empty foreground exudes a surreal quality. Seems I see a curve in the velvet. Beautiful isolated scene.

Gorgeous Tom, faved. It makes my heart race. Just the smooth simplicity of the surface of the lake contrasting with the rippling silk of the sky; and the wonderfully detailed crisp, sharp angles of the trees. It's so very right.
