Created in 2009, but i had ongoing issues with it and it never got published. It's still not perfect, but maybe I need to go back to Apophysis and do the fractal itself differently? As recently as tonight I've been tearing my hair out over it.

Software and creds:

Apophysis 2.09
3D Bubbles Script by Shortgreenpigg
(settings changed afterwards).

Photoshop Elements 2.0 / Photoshop Elements 8.0 / Photoshop CS5

Seaweedery in the background rendered in Context Free Art.
The swimming sharks are mine...

Please leave your hair in Sandra, you've done well and it's time to rest now. Calmly back away from the picture and disengage the urge to fiddle. The first take is the most honest one and a true snapshot of your talents at a particular time. It's perfect just the way it is. That it works on so many levels is testament to your brilliance and artistic judgment. It's a picture to gaze at and then become lost in. The colors, the framing and the shadowing are exquisite. The feeling of immersion in an ancient sea is remarkable and convincing. It's hard to overpraise this beauty. More like it please.

You've successfully created the essence of the underwater world with all it's color, murkiness, and mystique...great work, Sandra.

If you stare at an orange juice container because it says, "CONCENTRATE" might be a redneck.
