**Autopainted attempt 1**

We've had a heatwave here -- typical Scottish version that's immediately replaced by a thunderstorm, followed by iron-grey clouds and chilly rain. The cats think we need a weather rule-change.

Two photos taken on 25 May, merged together using the 'double exposure' function in Snapseed.

Software used:
~ Snapseed and AutoPainter HD on iPad.
~ Photoshop CS5.

The merged image was soft, flat and yellow-green all over, and was edited to give it more punch.

I've begun again from scratch, feeling some stages could have been done another way. Attempt 2 is taking longer than I thought, but should be posted in another day or two.

For the curious..

AutoPainter HD

"Automatically turn your photos into authentic looking paintings. It is for real! The result from this highly addictive software will look pretty much like a real painted art: zoomed in or zoomed out."

"Snapseed is a complete and professional photo editor developed by Google."
