A humble tribute to the late, great M.C. Escher. I manipulated a photo originally taken by B1aze, (Friderik's tower - inside), that reminded me and several others of an Escher drawing. Thanks for the permission B1aze, hope you all enjoy the edit :)

But enough about me....what do *you* think about me?

I thought of Escher before i even opened it. Removing the rails and tweaking the 'top' step has just the perspective effect it's supposed to.

I did not take this picture dusa, it was taken by B1aze and there is a link to his original in the description. To actually take THIS picture one would have to be standing in another dimension since there is no way onto or off of that staircase, but of course it's just paintshop magic :). Thanks everyone for the nice comments.

deceptively simple, Josh. This must have taken a while, as it is a seemless edit.
Excellent. (HD, Favs, 10/10)

The work of art may have a moral effect, but to demand moral purpose from an artist is to make him ruin his work. (Johann Wolfgang von Goethe - 1832)

very good edit, i respect the kind of patience it takes to do that good of a job, especially to keep good perspective

Yes, definitely reminiscent of Escher. However, reminds me of Vertigo as well....

Escher, truly a man of awesome artistic skills. Awesome how you made it alot more complex with the detail surrounding the stairs, turly a 10 out of 10.

I hold it true that thoughts are things; They're endowed with bodies, breath and wings: And that we send them forth to fill the world with good results, or ill. That which we call our secret thought speeds forth to earth's remotest spot, leaving it's blessings or it's woes like tracks behind it as it goes. We build our future, thought by thought for good or for ill, yet know it not. Yet so the universe was wrought . Thought is another name for fate. Choose then thy destiny and wait, for Love brings Love and Hate brings Hate. - Henry Van Dyke.
