My girlfriend pointed out this camera-shy fellow (perched above our heads) to me when I was pre-occupied with the little sandpipers running around on the sand. But seriously, what a diva! This one was willing to pose for me as long as I wanted to take pictures.

Apparently not so shy afterall...the pose combined with the hint of attitude in its' expression do indeed convey the impression of showing off...good timing and nice clear shot.:Pat.

This is an excellent photo image. You have a very interesting subject, a cornball cormorant, along with very interesting lighting and perspective. From my experience this is a difficult and technical shot, that you pulled off wonderfully.

Two eyes are always better. Take her on your photo excursions often. ;) This one is certainly flaunting and I love your angle on the wingspan as well as the turned head glowing above all else. I like the simplicity of the background and the amount of the perch you chose to include in the shot. On my monitor, a slight increase in contrast (not brightness) showed a little more definition and defined color in the wings which I like. An easy to use wallpaper adds to this photo for me as well and it goes to my bird slideshow. ;)

Air drying is very important for a water bird with no oil in the feathers. I love the perspective here. From underneath it sure feels poised for take off. The bird and peeling post are great color against the sky.

Hey! Is this a cormorant? I've been stalking cormorants for years, now trying to get a shot of one. They do this really cool thing (seen here) where they stand and spread their wings for some reason, and every time I see one I try to shoot it, but it sees me and flies away. You got one here. Nice capture, Josh!

Of all the photos posted on Caedes, this one has a most unique perspective. I think it deserves more than a 45. You had me studying the feather layout of yonder bird for quite awhile. Lot of detail there.

Great capture, at for me. I like it.
