A Black & White photograph of a lamp in Central Park that I recently took on my visit to NYC. It was a great day out, however the surroundings of the lamp weren't too "alive". So instead, I set my camera to B&W to give it (in my opinion) a little more character.

I really like this! I think the B&W really did the trick on this one.. the blossoms look like little pearls but are nicely blurred a bit..

I saw the picture and said, "Oo! I like that!" I can't put my finger on it, but it just has an old-time type feel. It's classic--and I faved it!

I think you're definitely on the right track with this shot. I'd suggest cropping this to a 4:3 size (1600X1200) and eliminating that wedge of house or building in the lower left corner.

Very "old world New York." Nice, classic feel to it. B&W was a great choice.
