I reworked this one changing the frame. All my friends said this way it looks a lot better, let me know what you think! Special big thanks to Robert ( groo2k) for his suggestions. the first image can be seen here
Ahh...much better. The photo is still top notch and I think the presentation is more suited to the photographs quality. Thanks for reposting it this way. Into the faves with it...
This one goes straight onto my desktop, in my favorites and got a 10 in the random voting and another 10 here on this page.
Now this is good photography. All of the elements of an excellent image are present. There are too many to list but they are there.
I haven't had time yet to view the original image. I think I will save this now, go look and come back and edit it.
Looked and Robert was right. The white lines needed to go, they detracted from the central theme and added nothing to it.
Bad artists always admire each other’s work. They call it being large-minded and free from prejudice. But a truly great artist cannot conceive of life being shown, or beauty fashioned, under any conditions other than those he has selected.

If my comment on your work ever seems to criticise, it does not. It is always so that we may learn together.
Thanks so much for commenting on my photo, "Offwise"! I really appreciate it. I love this photo...Greece is such a beautiful area. I like the shadows and the blue...and the framing is very nice. Great job from me!

It always amazes me the scores that get attached to photos. This one has no business being rated as low as it is. It is simply lovely. The geometric shapes contrast very well with what is quite obviously a less-geometric lifestyle. There are only about five colors in the photo which simplifies it tremendously. The wall to the left forms an excellent anchor while the curving alley underlines the main event which I assume is the stair and door. I love this photo, and I think it would look very authentic (if you know what I mean) were you to touch it up with a watercolor effect. Its simplicity (Rule #4 of composition) lend well to good watercolor.
