This is pretty cool, you did a great job with the shadowing. I also think the reflections are awesome and your color choice for the background was a very good choice. I know you mentioned you were just messing with the shadowing but I would of left out the tree and would of put something that was Egyptian in place of it just to keep a more formed flow going. Other than that I think you did a good job on this!!
