The natual world offers up so many contrast of forms and textures and this is another fine example. Nicely done.

Very interesting picture. When I was a child growing up in California I saw something similar to this, except it was much bigger (of course I was much smaller) and my sisters told me it was from an earthquake, where the earth had opened up and swallowed people. Guess you can imagine how terrified I was, LOL! The colors and clarity are wonderful on this shot.
