The wetlands of Fern Ridge, Oregon just outside Eugene. Original shot taken in May. Manipulated using Photomatrix software. It's essentially a blend of several images using different exposures. Adjusted in Photoshop.

The photography is clear and crisp. The colors are vivid. But, the overall shot, while beautiful seems a bit eerie.

I don't know what all you did but I know I sure do like it. This is gorgeous. It all looks like it belongs together to me. The lighting is fantastic. The placement of the log is exactly where it needs to be. And Lawdy, do i love those colors. Your good, buster!

I'm really liking this one...though judging from your gallery there's lots of other good stuff too. You seem to have a knack for capturing the sky at it's best. I've been meaning to try the layering of exposures but haven't got around to it yet. Thanks for the comments on Deceptive Calm #2.
