One minute it was there, the next minute it was gone. Oddly shaped cloud formation or encounter with a Cosmic Egg? No BIG BANG, but for a moment there...??//// Shot at Fern Ridge, Oregon. Only cropping and saturation tweak, no other manipulation.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

Well, the whole upload is gorgeous with that pretty sunset, but I believe you when you say this is what you saw. I saw something similar just the other day only it was during the day time and I was on the highway so I couldn't stop, but when I got to a place where I could pull over it was gone. I though to myself that no one would have believed it occurred naturally, but there it was..well actually there were three of them. Thanks for saving my sanity :)

Pretty wild man, looks like something you'd see on a Pink Floyd record. Or maybe it just reminds me of a song or something. Nice work, as always.

Very very good. I'm not real sure what might have caused an odd cloud like that... But it looks real good over Fern Ridge!

That must've been one large chicken. Watch out for cosmic poop. Lovely image, the unique formation makes it an interesting sunset. I wish you more of these!
