this house is a few miles from my house. it is said to be haunted by the mother who is still looking for her son, with the lamp, walking around at night. if you wait long enough you are suppoed to see the light, on the night i went, we didnt see the light, but other weird things. on the inside of the house it is marked with '666' and other demonic things. once i get brave again i will go inside to take pictures.

Hi Abby, even before reading your description I found this house kinda evil and mysterious... You captured that very well...., and I'm really looking forward to seeing more of it... "once you get brave" ;-))

Hi Abby. It's a shame that this has turned into something like you've described. When I see shots like this I like to try to think of what once was and that perhaps it was once full of life and joy. The solid stonework once built maybe by someone who took great pride in their craft. It's a great shot with nice clear details and interesting to explore. You've done a nice job with that. I think a slight crop off of some of the sky and the wire could make it just a tad better. Then again, the sky certainly adds to the abandoned feel of it.

What an interesting story here Abby. This house appears very solid yet very lonely. You have a good eye for this capture. I might have cloned out the wire, but your use of thirds works here. Let's hope that the demonic markings are that of pranksters and nothing more. Well done :)

I agree with BJ, it was once a very proud place and still stands straight and un buckled. Thanks for taking us there.

OMG, it sure does look spooky to me. I dont think I would have enough courage myself...ha, and if I did, the pics might come out blurry from my shaky knees. Great capture and very interesting background. I am adding you to my friend list so I can see the pics of the inside when and if you go in there! My advice...take a friend with you!

This house would be AWESOME to take a picture of at sunset or under moonlight. But only if you have friends near you...
