I had this in the VB and gave it a very high score. I had to see who had created it! It's a wonderful image - the colours are so fresh and lively; the lighting is excellent; much of the moss is in sharp focus in spite of the difficulties of macro photography; and the sprinkling of contrastingly coloured debris (pine needles?) adds extra emphasis and interest. Very nicely done indeed!

Really interesting. When I saw this come up in the photography section of new images I thought "Huh?? Isn't that an illustration?" Love the balance and DOF.
