These guys are everywhere. They are smart and adaptable. Whether they're clamming at the local beach or feasting at the local dump, they seem to be at home. When I go to Morro Bay, they are always trailing the fishing boats or waiting around the commercial facilities hoping that some fish guts will fall into the water.
Your shot looks like a monotone with a slightly green tinge. However, this could easily be a regular color shot. It's not like the gulls are bright red or that the ocean is fluorescent on a misty day. I'm trying to decide if your shot is slightly left leaning. The horizon says it is, but everything else looks horizontal and vertical to me. I don't know why this is, but a centered subject is less interesting to me than one that is offset. Trying cropping some off the right or left to see if it makes a difference.
Nice clarity and focus on your shot.

Well, I'd playing in the waves because I can't fly without a plane, lol. Wonderful shot and love the action of the water, it really does look like he's thinking what to do.
