Took this shot of the Navy Pier in Chicago IL from the Farris Wheel. thought about cutting out the Farris Wheel, but after lookin at it awhile i really like it like this personally ;)Hope you like it too! leave comments!

in color, this immage would be a "so what" image, but in black in white, it is really elegant. Very excuisit (sp?) work. Great eye Antonia!

When I first saw it, I thought you must have been sitting in a boat, then I disabused myself of that idea, and thought perhaps you were sitting in a restaurant overlooking the harbor...one with fancy metal work on the windows, and then I went back and took my time to read your opening comment, which I usually do first anyway, and realized just what was going on. I think you made a fine choice in leaving in the ferris wheel aspects..as you can see it sent me on a mental chase, which is always good in a piece of art.

Like the curving lines against the straight lines of the buildings. What also caught me was the use of B&W (old) to portray the buildings (new).

What a beautiful urban picture! I have always found it extremely difficult to take a good photograph in a city. No problem for you, so it seems. Good job! I love the composition; and the B&W, of course, as the others have already pointed out.
