After some practice and research I began cooking and shooting. A dish I an using for my cook book. Please comment. This is the first time I have attempted food photography.

Hey Robert! I love the idea of lam and okra.Sounds delicious. The thing is I feel IMHO that if you are spotlighting both of these items, they should also both be sharp and clear on the photo. Or I wonder if you could put the okra on the plate too?
I like the colours on the plate pattern, it goes so perfectly with you food. I am so happy you are doing these photos and writing the cookbook. What a job, but a most wonderful one! Congrats on this great undertaking my friend. Many good wishes to you. Verena

Another fine capture and delicious looking plate! I actually like that the main course is in focus, while the Okra, glass and bottle are not. Great use of depth of field and composition! You're making me hungry now :) Best of luck with your cookbook too!

Can I come over? I'm hungry now... ;-) I like your DOF with the plate in focus and the okra and wine blurry... Of course after drinking some wine everything would be blurry but that's part of the fun....
