In the "Zuiderzee museum" encounter you many things of in former days. This here is a knife grinder, you could you knifes and scissors yourself let sharpen. I can remind myself still that in my youth the knife grinder came by, now can we that ourselves do.

I have never seen anything like this before! We have plety of knives around here but not knifew sharpeners. I love the colorful cart. Thank you for sharing your image and part of the world with us. This truly is unique and captured well.

When I was a child a fellow used to visit the backyards in our area shouting at the top of his lungs "Knives sharpen !" We all ran to him and brought the knives and watched him work ... That must have been .... rty years ago or more LOL

What a nice bit of history Lien. I remember as a child in England the knife grinder coming around - and the rag & bone man. Great shot :)
