This is a non-typical Amish farm. Non-typical in the sense that this an older house. Most of the amish houses in the Lancaster area have gotten a 'upgrade' in modern house look. Notice that there is no power lines to the house. A nice washing line but no power lines. But don't let some of the Amish fool you. The contractors have an 'outhouse' that is far on their property that has a computer/phone/fax machine to contact their non-Amish foreman. But you can only reach them for an hour there. My dad was a contractor that dealt with Amish contractors at times. And honestly, they build some of the best houses I have ever seen or been in.

Adie, This is non typical, and a wonderful capture with a very good narrative. We have the Amish in in the area as well, and most do have very large and nice homes. Tigs♥ =^..^=
