From the top, this is the 50 yr + path five brothers with their cousins, friends, dogs and whatever else made by foot on their way to the cold water creek 1/2 m down in the hollow..My pop could stand up here and holler for us and we could hear him all the way down there, what a holler in the hollow...for Remember When folks. Everyone was headed here. To update this, after hurricane Katrina all this is GONE, now its empty land?

This is a Great picture. The clarity and detail aren't apparent in the thumbnail, but enlarged, it's as though the computer screen was a window. About that big, dirty thumbprint, BB, you had better start practicing!!!

bb.. this is a wonderful looking place.. so peaceful.. it saddens me to think that its gone now.. would have loved to have visited there.. just remember, it will never be empty land.. tho hurricanes can be devistating, they can never take the memories we already have.. hopefully, in time, this beautiful place, with its magnolias and towering pines, can be back to its original luster..

Wow, Bill. I'm sorry about your loss. We all lost a piece of our souls when that damned storm came through. None of us who lived through it or lost parts of our lives to it will ever be the same again. We'll have to remember it the way it was in pictures and words.
