Looks like the birds have flown already :( This is a very clear pic of a quaint bird house that looks like it must have had quite a few tenants over the years. I love the grey patina on this simple house, and the way it blends in with the surroundings has to make it a "must" for the birds. The greens in the background are dappled with sunlight to add extra interest, as is the subject itself, and in this case I'm glad they are not blurred as they as they would and should be in other shots.. IMHO.. I think that it lends a feeling of safety and comfort to think that the birds whose residence this would be would be sheltered even further from predators. EXCEPT for that loud-mouth flower over the top..LMAO...it's so bright it's like a beacon, and it's so incongrous to the feeling I was getting as I was focusing on your subject and the surrounding greens.. Seriously, though, it's lovely and a perfect accent to this perfectly lovely presentation.. thanks :)PJ

This is a beutiful composition Frank. The rustic wood on the left and the bright flowers coming up behind and outward to the right, nice rich color and excellent contrast, lovely dappled sunlight. Just a perfectly lovely image. anne :-)

This is wonderful. I think that's a bluebird house and those are roses I suppose. They are very beautiful contrasted against the old wood with the moss growing on it. Nice one, Frank!
