Driving home from the local supermarket I pulled out my trusty camera and fired a shot through the windshield to capture the brightly lit roadway scene. Need not tell you that this is difficult at best to limit the blur but I like the light with star effect of street lights created by shooting through glass that is slightly curved. Experimented to get the sky as I liked.

I like the photo! I usually get this effect by smearing Vaseline all over my windshield (not recommended)

Bad news, Frank. I have turned this photo over to the local authorities in Alabama. Perhaps you didn't check your pocket edition of the "Alabama Rules of the Road". You are in violation of section 61602 (b)(3)(A), subsection B32 regarding photography while driving. This violation of the law is categorized as a Class 3 misdemeanor punishable by 3 months of hard labor and a $5,000 fine. Sorry.

I love the star effects in this. Looks a lot like a filter that does that. Well done.

Stopping in the middle of a busy highway ain't exactly looked upon favourably either by the authorities. I hope you had you 4-way flashers on. :)
Nice work Frank. I like the sky in the scene.
