This little bird was making all kinds of racket this morning beside my car window at my workplace parking lot. He just looked and looked at me. I wonder what he was trying to say to me. I took his picture and he didn't even mind...imagine that. Skates tells me it is a Killdeer for which I'm thankful for I don't really know a lot about birds.

They are also called sandpipers, and I wonder if you were close to a nest? They will try to lure predators away from their nest. They can really put on a show to lure someone away. Very good focus, and color, and poise. Tigs♥ =^..^=

I agree with Tigs, it's possible you were too close to its nest, they do put up a ruckus. Here on Cape Cod, there's another sandpiper called a piping plover, and they're endangered, so during nesting time some beached are closed to ATVs and such. This is a great capture.

Nice capture. Very, very crisp. And yes, its chatter is probably a warning that it will peck your eyes out if you get any closer to the nest. ;)
