The bees are out in force today. Hand held 70-300 mm lens with a fair breeze and shot at a slightly faster speed than my lens size. The advise of most photographers is to increase your shutter speed to at least the same as or above your focal length to reduce blur of course that means the other settings must correspond for a good exposure.

This is really good Frank, the dahlia is beautiful,and the color, light play gives it a fairy tale look, good focus on that busy bee as well. Tigs♥ =^..^=

I like the detail on the bee. Very sharply focused under rather difficult conditions. I'm not, however, all that familiar with dahlia although I have heard of the Tibetan Dahlia Lama, although I understand he is neither a dahlia nor a llama -- one of those phrases like "government intelligence" that makes no sense to me. Where was I? Oh, the flower almost looks like a watercolor painting. Could be an artistic effect or my lack of knowledge on all things related to flowers.
