Went to the Great Smoky Mountains this weekend for a much needed vacation time. This shot is near a place called Clingmans Dome. As you can see these mountains are true to their name for they are very smoky looking and especially after a morning rain. Pictures can hardly give you the sense of awe as when you are actually there. It was cool in the mountains as if it were spring instead of summer. Have a great day. Oh and by the way where I was was around 6000 feet up.

I went on my second honeymoon is the Smokies and fortunately had my radiator punctured in the middle of nowhere, Frank. It was great staying in a little hotel and meeting the locals while they ordered parts and worked on the car for a few days. I will always remember the Smokies for that as well as the glorious scenery...some of which you've been kind enough to display for us here. There are some places that are made for photography. Let's face it, why the heck would there be mountains and all that fog if it wasn't for your vacation. A beautiful shot that brings back some very happy memories for this old fart. Thank you, Frank.

Beautiful capture of the Smoky Mtns. The clouds & fog set the mood & I can also sense the temp's were a bit cool. I feel as if I'm actually there. Excellent, Frank.
