I saw this coyote in a field early in 2008 he was startled because i was able to sneek up on him. At first i think he was confused. These animals are discribed as pests here because they like the farmers lifestock and won't hesitate to take small pets. I thought he was somewhat inquisitive but a little shy. I hope you enjoy

That's a great expression on his face and I like the way you caught him in his natural surroundings. One of these little critters flowed me and my son (who was 3 at the time) as we walked along the trial in Whitemud Ravine. It howled at us from about 10 metres away. (Ever see that film 'Cry in the dark' with Merryl Streep?) Scared the hell out me, and delighted my son.

Hard shot to get. He must be a young one. Most run if you even slow down to look. I like the crow in the background. It is hard to line up two species like that. Nice job....
