Compared to the movies, it's amazing how small it is! And how it's just tucked into a regular neighborhood. Thanks for sharing .....

It is really small. We went on a riverboat tour, and they told us that the City of San Antonio won't allow any buliding to cast a shadow on the Alamo. Therefore they only build hotels etc. so high. Nothing will cast a shadow on Texas' shrine of Liberty and Independance.

Wonderful image of a piece of history. In other pictures, I'm amazed at how small it is. You wonder why it was so hard to get over those walls. I notice the "Alamo" they used for the movie, was more fancy. Nice clearness and details. Interesting seeing the stones used and that beautiful door. Pretty column work. Thanks Bill, for this beautiful sight :>
