Ida the Eider Duck.. The UK's heaviest duck, and its fastest flying. It is a true seaduck, rarely found away from coasts where its dependence on coastal molluscs for food has brought it into conflict with mussel farmers. Eiders are highly gregarious and usually stay close inshore, riding the swell in a sandy bay or strung out in long lines out beyond the breaking waves.R.

We have something in common with Ida [ie I have] the fact of being darn heavy and [SAAB] swimming like a fish!!!
Unfortunately this is the only thing we have in common, none of us, Polish agents, is that beautiful and none of us has such a skillful private photographer...
I mean SAAB has one, but not half as good...

Potentially part of an eiderdown.

Lovely shot Richie, the ripples and reflection are superb.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

It's a heavy duck? That means lots of meat in my gumbo.
