Cute little red hat this fowl is wearing Richie. Good capture and it shows great detail - love those furry little legs.

Very good shot of the "chicken" grouse :) Famous Grouse used to be also one of my favourites in the old days. Used to buy it duty free for the ship's stock.

Excellent shot of the chicken hawk. LOL. Red Grouse, eh? I had to Google it to see exactly what it is. I will make my reservations early in London, so I can make it on time Aug. 12th, to have my freshly killed Roast Red Grouse. I sure hope they don't try to pull one over on me and serve me chicken!

I had to Google it, as well. It says that the males are more reddish than the females, so I'm taking that this is probably a male.
He's very interesting with tufts everywhere and furry-like legs. You caught the bird in an interesting situation...on the rocks with barbed wire! Wonderful photo!
