The hugely popular 1990's series 'Baywatch' was set in the Santa Monica Bay area. It was a bright and sunny Southern California day when this picture was taken but not a single sunbathing beauty or hunk could be seen for a mile! Fear not, they have not fled to Hawaii. An unusually cold (?) spring day temperature of mid-60s at noon in the middle of the week kept this usually well-frequented stretch of sand almost empty.

yep, it does look deserted. I like the hills in the background, but the car seems a bit distracting. Although overall this is a pretty good shot!

It is cloudy, raining, thundery, and gloomy where I am right now. Your photo has brightened my day up no end! I only wish I could actually place my feet in that warm golden sand and go for a swim too. Good photography!
