The fact that this was a cloudy day makes the image work all the better. I really like the subdued colors.

Nice photo, reminds me of lazy afternoons in the canoe back home. I like the way the people are prominent yet anonymous, which I think helps make it seem like a timeless scene that's been played out on many occasions.
