i had to fix one of the lights, seemed a tad blurry out of control. This is the ceiling of the MET Opera House I shot while waiting for the "arteasts" to perform

Looking straight up makes it seem like we are looking straight down, at a very nice table and chairs (seating for eight) at our favorite restaurant.

What was playing at the Opera that night? Did the fat lady sing?

Have to laugh at Shads (John) comments B16. Did you stand on your toes when you shot this? A good composition.

Personally I see a flower pattern, but I can't recall seeing any blooms with brown coloured petals. A nicely presented photo, I like the softness in the focus and the slight blurring of the lighting fixtures. A lovely pattern in the ceiling and nice highlighting of the colours and shapes. Good work and thanks for sharing.

I like the abstract nature of this image. Without an explanation it could be anything, including a flower. Only slight irritation is the noise when it is enlarged.

I see why you found this enchanting. It is quite lovely. Almost looks like a pretty fractal if you didn't tell what it is.

You did quite well with this. The symmetry of shadowed scallops encasing the sparkling diamonds of light is quite attractive.
If anything at all, I might have trimmed half the distance from the right border to the first light. It would decentralize the image and improve balance, but only slightly.

No worries you did just fine! This is not an easy shot either but it turned out great. Nice and clear too. It could be a little centered or shot directly centered under the lights but this works.
Good job

"When you're a Met, you're a Met all the way, from your first symphony to the last ballet." At least, I think those were the original words in Leonard's score for West Side Story.

Emily - I like this - your creative eye captured this well. Thad
