Anton Pilgram (* 1460 in Brno; † 1515, in Vienna).
Amongst many others Pilgram lead the structure of St. Stephens in Vienna from 1511 - 1515.
Rumours say that this is a self portrait of Pilgram which is situated at the base of St. Stephens pulpit, but nowadays the concept is written on Niclas Gerhaert van Leyden's sheet.

Very nice shot. The subject, the B&W, sharp image,...all are very attractive to me. Very smart of the sculptor, too! In "Uffizzi" in Florence, one can see a few drawings by the big guys (Buticelli for example, if my memory doesn't fail me) who have done the very same thing i.e. included their own image in the drawing! Thus, you may see the artist among the gods of Olympus, so on so forth!
