This looking down the main road out of Montgomery in Mid-Wales. It also leads to The Crown,one of the four pubs in the town. If you carry on down this road for 12 miles (19km) you come to Bishop's Castle. This a slightly bigger market town which is just in England. Here, you can find the wonderful Three Tuns pub which brews its own beer.

This reminds me a little J K Jerome's "Three Men in a Boat .." where one of the fellows knew 'a very decent pub just round the corner' in all places !!! LOL Thanks for the story and I cannot wait to see Dunstickin's comment - he appreciates a good pub I believe.

As would I...lovely photo and thanks for showing us the watering hole...you'll never know when you might need that kind of information, especially when travelling!! I really like the angles here.

Your instincts on this one are great Steve, the brickwork in the foreground leads into the scene really well, as does the line of the road. I think I'd like to see the white line to the right cropped out (is it a downpipe?) and a little more sharpening applied. Get me a beer in and I'll see what I can do!
