Nice to see you posting some pictures. I definitly like this one, and this has got to be the best angle to take pictures of downtown by. I personally think this one might be alittle oversharpened, but awesome shot regardless.
"A piece of toast with butter always lands butter side down, and a cat always lands on its feet. What happens if a piece of toast is tied butter side down to the back of a cat? Does it perpetually hover above the ground in indecision when dropped?"
"Go ye therefore, and teach all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen." -Matthew 28: 19-20- KJV Bible
As a calgary resident, I can definitely appreciate the time and effort spent on this shot. As this view is probably the most *postcarded* view of downtown, you definitely have your share of competition. This is by far the best i've seen yet. Amazing color clarity, zero camera shake at high zoom, and well thought out borders.
As close to perfect as city photography gets. Simply Amazing.
Hello Will....This is an amazing shot....Its a great example of how a scene can become a lot more interesting when the lights come on...A great low light picture demands some light blue to be left in the sky to make the man made lights stand out and grip the attention...Mabey a touch more blue....This is definitely one to be proud of...All the best...Mick.
