Traveling in a very narrow and shallow canal in the swamps this crane kept showing us the way and we finally made it into a very nice lagoon. I think she was trying to get us as far as possible from her nest. Fascinating, mother nature is!

I hope you brought plenty of insect repellant to get this shot! (LOL) Well done...

Great composition and subject, too bad it's a bit blurry in some areas though...

I love the canopy look and that's what drew me to this on the new images page. The crane, of course, is the center attraction and the many bowing branches and water reflections add to this wonderful nature scene. I think you might try a little sharpening and see if that helps with the bits of blur. This image is certainly worth giving it a try on. Nice capture.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

For some reason, although I see the blurry technically, I think it adds to the illusion of "the guide" as an idea instead of the stark reality that it is. Color saturation is nice also in conjunction with your theme. Nice work, my friend.

I won't be uploading images until my computer comes out of its sudden coma, as I am commenting using a shared machine that doesn't have PhotoShop or my images on it. :(

You've heard them, not perfect technically,

Great work my friend,

I agree with PJ - the bits of blur add to the enchantment of this post. I love it! ~Mary~

The crane elevates this from merely a great shot to a spectacular shot. How fortunate that your camera was ready to shoot at the perfect moment. How fortunate for us that you shared the moment.
